Bayern Munich and Marseille are reportedly lurking in the background with interest in signing Manchester United star Marcus Rashford.

There was one point in the summer that saw Rashford linked with a move away from Manchester United. It never gained momentum but it was still a sign of a player at risk of loving support.

It was usually watered-down transfer gossip, speculative reports and sensationalism.

Rashford has never wanted to leave United and it would have took a huge transfer fee to push the club into a sale.

While the forward struggled for goals last season, Erik ten Hag never gave up hope that Rashford would find his best form again. We are starting to see that now which is why the latest rumours make me laugh.

According to TEAMtalk, Rashford leaving Old Trafford is not impossible as the January transfer window approaches. PSG are joined by Bayern Munich and Marseille as clubs trying to explore a possible move.

A move to Marseille would see Rashford link up with former United team-mate Mason Greenwood, but they would struggle to meet the demands of such a deal.

The 26-year-old would have no shortage of interest if United were serious considering a transfer. Why would they do that when the player is hitting good form?

With two years left on his deal there is no reason to panic. Rashford needs to focus on his football if he wants to continue his latest run of goal contributions.
