Manchester United continue to be linked with Red Bull Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko after the player’s agent was spotted at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Sesko has been linked with a move to United since 2022 following talks between the club and the player’s agent, Elvis Basanovic. That was when Sesko played for Red Bull Salzburg but has since moved to RB Leipzig.
The 20-year-old has scored 17 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions this season. He is currently on a run of scoring in six consecutive Bundesliga games, which bodes well for a club like United that lacks goalscorers.
However, Basanovic could have been meeting a few people at Old Trafford on Sunday. Arsenal have also been linked with a move in the summer.
But an update from the player’s agent could potentially hint that a move to United may still be a possibility, even though the Gunners will be playing Champions League football next season. We won’t.
Basanovic shared a picture of himself at Old Trafford for Sunday’s Premier League clash against Arsenal on Instagram. He wrote: “Just ordinary day in Premier League office.”
It remains a possibility that Basanovic, as well as Sesko, will be regulars at Old Trafford.
The player’s agent previously shared pictures at Old Trafford for the clash against Liverpool back in April.
Sesko reportedly has a release clause of €50m (£42.7m) in his contract with RB Leipzig.
Let us know in the comments section if you think United should make a move for Sesko in the summer.
