Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund are set to hold talks in the coming days regarding Jadon Sancho following his loan spell with the Bundesliga giants.

Sancho started for Dortmund in their 2-0 Champions League final defeat against Real Madrid last night, but Edin Terzic made it clear in his post-match interview that he was happy with the winger.

Football reporter Fabrizio Romano understands that the two clubs will meet in the coming days, with United keen to sell Sancho permanently this summer.

Romano believes Sancho’s situation will be one to watch since a return to Old Trafford is quite unlikely.

In an exclusive column for CaughtOffside, Romano explained: “Another important situation to watch will be with Jadon Sancho. Borussia Dortmund will talk to Man United in the next days about Sancho, and then we’ll have to see how talks and meetings will go.

“For sure Borussia Dortmund can’t spend crazy money; but they want to try to keep Sancho as he’s happy at the club, while United’s priority remains a permanent sale, for sure.”

Sancho wasn’t able to end his Dortmund loan with the Champions League trophy, but time will tell if he did enough for the German club to put their money where their mouth is by signing him.

It will depend on whether they can meet the demands set by United as well as Sancho.
