CCoE – DSCI Chapter Meet concludes with the enthusiastic participation of 100+ Cyber Security Leaders and Domain Leads

Hyderabad, June 14, 2024: The Centre of Excellence for Cybersecurity and Data Security Council of India (CCoE-DSCI) is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of its Chapter Meet, a pivotal event that brought together partners, government officials, and industry experts to discuss the latest advancements in cybersecurity and privacy. The event was graced by Shri Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, Special Chief Secretary, ITE&C Department and Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Telangana as Chief Guest.

Delivering the Opening Remark, Dr Sriram Birudavolu, CEO, CCoE, emphasized, “The CCoE-DSCI Chapter Meet at Hyderabad brought together industry leaders and professionals from the Cybersecurity and Privacy domain to discuss and learn about the upcoming field of Privacy Engineering, which is vital for implementing Privacy in organizations.”

Stressing the importance of Privacy Engineering, the Chief Guest of the event, Shri Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, said, “Privacy engineering is a cornerstone of trust in our digital society. The pivotal role played by the CCoE in fostering innovation and collaboration in Cybersecurity and Privacy is crucial for building a secure, resilient and privacy-compliant digital landscape for the future.”

Keynote Sessions and addresses: The event was enriched by the insights of esteemed speakers Mr G.T. Venkateshwar Rao, Ex-IRS and MD-Posidex, who delivered an engaging session on “Privacy Engineering and Cybersecurity Strategies” and Mr Abhilash, Founder, and CEO, Privasapien who spoke on “Building Privacy-Preserving & Responsible AI solutions for India & the World”. This was followed by Keynote addresses by Ms Niti Paul, Regional DOP, Capgemini, and Mr Soumick Bhattacharya, a renowned Cyber Security & Data Privacy Leader and Technology Evangelist.Insightful Session on Privacy Engineering: The session covered various aspects of cybersecurity, including a debrief on the “Privacy Engineering: Way Ahead Report” by Sai Krishna, Technical Consultant, CCoE.Interactive Sessions: Ms. Mitalee Agrawal, Lead – Business Development and Community Engagement, CCoE, presented on CCoE’s upcoming programs, including PrivSec, Hackathon, and Recruitment Opportunity. Ms. Celestine S, Senior Manager – Sector Skill Council (SSC), NASSCOM, discussed opportunities for apprenticeships in cybersecurity. The inclusion of a yoga session provided a refreshing break for attendees, enhancing focus and well-being, while the KAHOOT quiz event fostered an engaging and interactive learning environment.

The event ended with a networking session offering intensive learning, networking opportunities, and a platform for innovative partnerships.
