WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page comments on attending WWE NXT and praises Trick Williams.
Page was shown in the crowd during the January 21st episode of WWE NXT ahead of the match between NXT Champion Oba Femi and Eddy Thorpe.
In a tweet, Diamond Dallas Page commented on attending NXT, and he spoke highly of Trick Williams.
“Last night I was at @WWENXT & ran into one of my favorite performers @_trickwilliams! A little over a year ago I was doing an interview and I was asked who I thought would be the next #NXT Superstar to cross over to the main #WWE roster and make a serious impact. I said it would be Trick! Nothing has changed.
“I think you can expect big things when my man crosses over”
Trick Williams On Losing NXT Title
Williams previously commented on losing the NXT Championship. During an interview with Mike Jones of DC101, Williams shared his thoughts on his loss.
“Man, it was a rough night for me last night,” Williams said. “But I guess just like I gotta take all the credit and the glory, I gotta accept the fact, yesterday I did get beat. Oba was the better man yesterday. But I’m sure I’ll see him again in the near future. I ain’t going out like that. I worked too hard and put too much time in for it to end just so suddenly like that. I’m not happy with how it went out last night.
“Just calling a spade a spade, as much as I’m not happy about what happened last night, Oba is the real deal. He probably is the most dominant presence in the ring that I’ve faced this far. There’s only one Oba Femi, but the truth is also, there’s only one Trick Williams.”
