Drew McIntyre previews his goals for the new year.

McIntyre returned on the December 2 episode of WWE RAW and targeted Sami Zayn and Jey Uso. He then beat Zayn at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event and on the December 23 episode of WWE RAW. McIntyre has now focused on Uso, and they will clash at the WWE RAW on Netflix premiere.

In an interview with Cameron Hawkins for The Ringer, Drew McIntyre discussed his mindset going forward.

“I’m going to focus on what matters to me at that exact moment, and what matters to me right now is beating up everybody that’s ever screwed me over,” McIntyre said. “I’m going to take them out one by one, and they’re not going to know when I’m coming.”

Drew McIntyre On His Absence From WWE

McIntyre previously discussed his absence from WWE after WWE Bad Blood during an appearance on KWCH 12 Morning News.

“I was off the past two months,” McIntyre said. “My last match was a Hell in a Cell match, a very brutal match. I got hit in the head at one point, I needed 16 staples to close a wound on the top of my head. I suffered a family loss as well. So I had to go back to Scotland, deal with that, re-evaluate my priorities.

“I realized that I had probably given a bit too much to my profession and to my colleagues and not enough to my family. Kind of realized I’ve been giving too much for the past 17 years, and it’s time to probably start taking a little more, so I’m very much going into tonight with the mentality, I’m gonna take what’s mine, I’m gonna beat up people that deserve to be beat up. Yeah, this is gonna be an interesting phase for Drew McIntyre.”
