EC3’s career in WWE has been largely criticized by fans as the company has underutilized him on the main roster. He eventually parted ways with WWE back in 2020 and has never looked back since. That said, EC3 did address if he will ever return to WWE again.

After an underwhelming initial run in WWE from 2009-2013, EC3 signed with WWE as a top star back in 2018 after a terrific stint in Impact Wrestling. None of that mattered as he got fired in 2020 and has been busy with his own projects afterwards.

While speaking on Chris Van Vliet on the Insight podcast, EC3 discussed the possibility of returning to WWE, expressing his confidence in what the NWA is building. He emphasized his contentment with being a catalyst to construct something sustainable for the future rather than being a cog in a larger machine.

EC3 highlighted his belief in the NWA’s vision and his role as a champion and locker room leader. He expressed intrigue in helping cultivate the future, given his prime years and the belief that he can still excel in the ring.

“I’m so thoroughly content with building what we’re building right now. I’m very on board. I feel very much that I could be a gear in the strongest machine possible, or I can sink or swim being a catalyst to build something for the future. How much are they paying? [laughs] No, I believe in what we’re doing, I believe in WPC.

They put me in a great position, not just champion, but sort of like, I don’t know, I guess I’m a locker room leader and things like that, and being able to help cultivate the future intrigues me greatly, especially because I’m still in my prime, and I could beat everybody.”

EC3 is currently the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion and continues to be the face of the promotion. NWA is also going through changes as it was recently revealed that starting in February 2024, new episodes of the NWA Powerrr series will be available on the CW App.
