Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic said Jadon Sancho will get the chance to play in another Champions League final, after the Bundesliga side lost Saturday’s finale 2-0 against Real Madrid.

Jude Bellingham assisted Vinicius Junior for the second goal that secured the 2-0 victory for Madrid, after Dani Carvajal headed in Toni Kroos’ header to open the scoring.

There was a lot of hype built around Sancho ahead of the game, so only time will tell if his loan deal will be made permanent with Dortmund.

The German club will have to meet United’s asking price if want to bring Sancho back to the club ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Terzic couldn’t provide an update on Sancho’s future, but he has two years left to run on his United contract. The manager is also satisfied that the 24-year-old produced his best form for Dortmund.

“I am very happy to work with Jadon,” Terzic said, as quoted by ESPN. “I don’t know what the future will bring, but for sure it will bring him another Champions League final.

“I didn’t speak about his future [at Dortmund} because we have been talking about the present and the present is playing a Champions League final in his hometown, a very special moment for him.

“He is very happy with us and you can see the joy he has and the joy he brings to us. The last six months, he has been brilliant for us. Of course, he took time to get into shape, but you can feel his quality and his skills improved our game straightaway.

“He not only improved his game, but those around him. He is very gifted.”

I wonder where Terzic thinks Sancho will be playing his Champions League finals in the future…
