Manchester United are closing in on a deal with Arsenal for ‘highly-respected’ physio staff member Jordan Reece, as revealed this morning by The Mirror.

It comes after the Red Devils also poached head of sports medicine Dr Gary O’Driscoll from the Emirates last September, whom the Gunners were reluctant to lose.

Now, despite their unwillingness to sanction Reece’s departure, Arsenal are seemingly resigned to letting him go, as the two clubs enter their ‘final negotiations’ regarding his switch to United.

Reece has been hailed as ‘one of the best in the game’ for his work with the likes of Gabriel Jesus, who suffered from long-term fitness issues over the past season.

He’ll certainly have his work cut out at Old Trafford, too, as United endured one of their most debilitating injury crises of recent years in 2023/2024. There were over 62 cases of injury or illness that led to a player missing at least one game, and such issues were frequently pointed out by Erik ten Hag when pressed on the side’s fluctuating form in interviews.
