Former Netherlands international Khalid Boulahrouz has been left appalled by the way Antony reacted on Sunday evening after Manchester United booked their place in the FA Cup final.

The Brazilian winger taunted Coventry City players following a penalty shootout win over the Championship side.

Many, including the majority of Antony’s team-mates, felt Coventry deserved credit for how they came back from a three-goal deficit to force extra-time and penalties at Wembley. Rasmus Hojlund converted the winning penalty before Antony ran past the Coventry players with his hands cupping his ears.

Speaking on Monday evening via Rondo, former Dutch footballer Boulahrouz said (via FC Update): “Super out of place, I think it’s a bit sad. He does not realise the situation he is in, and what his team has just done. He is the very last person allowed to do this. He was bought for a hundred million euros and plays every match with a sh*t in his pants.”

He added: “Those guys did a great job. You just have to leave the field like a gentleman. You should be deeply ashamed… As a team-mate I would say to him: ‘Hey, shame on you, man… behave yourself’,” the former defender is harsh.”

Boulahrouz isn’t alone in the Antony pile on. Former United defender Rio Ferdinand slammed the winger’s antics and wants one of the more experienced players in the squad to pull him aside.

Antony doesn’t need to draw attention to himself because he has underperformed this season, scoring just two goals and registering as many assists in 34 outings this season.
