Wesley Fofana will once again miss out on a date with the French team. Suffering from repeated injuries, the Chelsea defender was expected at this gathering while Didier Deschamps had decided to call him up after a satisfactory start to the season individually with the Blues. In the end, the former ASSE player will not be there.

After a discussion with the coach, the 23-year-old defender decided to stay in London to work on his physical concerns as announced by the FFF this Sunday. Author of remarkable Olympics with France, Loïc Badé is called up for the first time with France and therefore replaces Fofana in this September list. As a reminder, the Blues play Friday against Italy at the Parc des Princes then next Monday in Lyon against Belgium.
