The lead-up to the 2024 FA Cup final has been dominated by managerial uncertainty at Manchester United. I don’t think the media would have it any other way, and Man City manager Pep Guardiola must be licking his lips with the belief there is a lot of distraction on the red side of Manchester.

I mean, it’s hard not to feel for Erik ten Hag.

Throughout the season we’ve argued against the idea of Ten Hag getting sacked. There’s a feeling that the news is almost inevitable, with reports emerging before the biggest game of the season.

I, for one, find that absolutely disgraceful.

Henry Winter, a friend of the Strettycast and former chief football writer at The Times, believes there is been public humiliation for Ten Hag. He cites the recent story from The Guardian and speaks in a tone that sounds like he believes the Dutchman’s days are numbered at Old Trafford.

Winter claims Man City fans will have a field day with chants about Ten Hag at Wembley.

Man City are the overwhelming favourites for FA Cup glory, and they are looking to beat us for a third time this season – which isn’t something the Blues have managed since 1969/70.

United have also lost six of their last seven meetings with the Premier League champions.
