Moinabad, August 24: Minister Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy has directed officials to commence the Hyderabad-Bijapur National Highway construction work within a week. The minister issued the order during a private event in Moinabad on Saturday.
During the event, local residents expressed their concerns to the minister, highlighting the frequent accidents on the Hyderabad-Bijapur road due to increased traffic. They emphasized the urgent need for road improvements to ensure safety.
In response, Minister Venkat Reddy immediately contacted senior National Highway officials via speakerphone in the presence of local leaders. He stressed the urgency of the situation, noting that two to three accidents occur daily on the highway. The minister ordered the officials to initiate the road work within the week and instructed them to warn the contractor that failure to start the work promptly could result in the cancellation of the tender.
Minister Venkat Reddy also emphasized that the progress of the road widening work should be evident within the week, underscoring the importance of swift action to address the safety concerns on this busy highway.
