One fresh report this Sunday evening suggests Manchester United are ready to up the ante in their pursuit of Manuel Ugarte.
With Paris Saint-Germain having already given the green light on the midfielder’s potential exit this summer, it’s up to the Red Devils to put the wheels in motion and hash out a deal in the coming weeks.
Florian Plettenberg revealed tonight that Ugarte is now considered a ‘serious’ target for United, as INEOS look to get off on the right foot in their maiden transfer window by bolstering Erik ten Hag’s midfield options.

Reds hoping to sanction arrival of Ugarte ASAP
‘Talks’ have taken place between the two clubs, while negotiations with the player himself will have to wait until he’s returned from Copa America; the 23-year-old is currently representing his native Uruguay at the tournament, where he’s played the full 90 in both of their group-stage matches thus far.
Ugarte signed for the Parisians from Sporting Lisbon only last summer for a fee of £51.5 million, penning a five-year contract upon his arrival at the Parc des Princes. It’s thought that PSG would be unwilling to take much – if any – of a hit on what they paid for him.
