Manchester United-linked defender Gleison Bremer says that he is ‘flattered’ by the interest he has received from top clubs.
The Brazilian didn’t single out United when speaking about the links and the possibility of him leaving Juventus this summer.
It is no secret that United have stepped up efforts to sign a new centre-back in recent weeks. There was a bid rejected by Everton for Jarrad Branthwaite and now the focus is on Bayern Munich’s Matthijs de Ligt.
However, Bremer is one of the other names to be linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer as they search for defensive reinforcements. Back in March, Matteo Moretto suggested United were the frontrunners in the race to sign Bremer.
It remains to be seen if Bremer will still be on United’s list of targets if they sign De Ligt, who is most likely to partner Lisandro Martinez in the heart of defence next season.
Bremer was in Copa America action on Saturday night, with his Brazil side losing a penalty shootout against Uruguay.
Ahead of the match, Bremer said (via Manchester Evening News): “I am flattered by the interest of some top clubs but I am already in a great team like Juventus.
“I am very focused on the Copa America. I have many goals. I want to play one or two World Cups and I want to continue fighting for important titles in Europe.”
