Manchester United are in for a hectic summer in the transfer market, with INEOS expected to overhaul the squad completely and there are already a number of players that are almost certain to leave the club.
Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood are likely to be sold to generate funds for incoming transfers, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Christian Eriksen and Harry Maguire all potentially up for grabs as well.
Sofyan Amrabat was brought in on deadline day last year to bolster Erik ten Hag’s midfield but now, it is being reported that INEOS have made a decision on the Morocco international’s future.
According to Football Insider, it has been decided that United will note exercise the clause that would see Amrabat’s loan deal be made permanent at the end of this year. Instead, he will return to Fiorentina, where he has one more year remaining on his contract.
As per the report, despite paying £8.5m for the season-long loan, United are not keen on extending his stay after being disappointed with his performances this season.
Amrabat has started just nine games in the Premier League this season, making an additional 11 appearances as a substitute.
Scott McTominay is another midfielder with an uncertain future at Old Trafford. The Scotland international has interest from other Premier League clubs.
There are also question marks over Casemiro’s future following a questionable second year at the club, with the former Real Madrid star also dropped from the latest Brazil squad.
