Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims Omari Forson is set to leave Manchester United in the coming days.

There has been plenty of speculation regarding the future of Forson, who could see his contract at the club expire at the end of the month.

Erik ten Hag debuted Forson this season as the 249th graduate from United’s prestigious academy. The manager spoke highly of him too, which suggested the club wanted him to stay.

Forson has made four Premier League appearances and one assist in that time. He came off the bench to replace Marcus Rashford in the FA Cup to make his first-team debut.

The youngster, 19, joined United from Tottenham’s academy in 2019.

Romano took to X with the latest update on Forson, writing: “Omari Forson, set to leave Manchester United as free agent in June.

“After his debut in February with Man Utd first team, Omari’s set for new chapter.

“There are several clubs already keen on signing Forson, as 19-year-old striker is attracting interest.”

Forson won’t have any shortage of suitors but it remains to be seen where he will end up next.

Speaking to MUTV after his debut against Wigan in January, Forson said (via Manchester Evening News): “I think it’s an honour. I’ve been working toward this moment for a long time now, so really happy to finally get my minutes.

“Nothing much [going through his head] really, just listen to what the manager said, come on, work hard and try make an impact.

“Kobbie [Mainoo] has been playing quite a lot recently and there are a lot of other academy boys that have come through the same system as I have, so that’s really helped me.”

Where next for Forson?
