MVP made a surprise appearance at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XI.

MVP came to the ring after Josh Barnett defeated Bad Dude Tito. Barnett noted that he would give him a hug, but he was sweaty. He asked MVP what he wanted to say.

MVP said that they had been friends for a long time, and they had trained together. He noted that he recently got his black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. MVP said his contract with a company he wouldn’t name was about to expire, and he was not going back. He said that he was not ready to retire yet, and he had a few more things he had to do before he hung up his boots. MVP challenged Barnett to face him at a Bloodsport event.

Barnett noted that MVP did not even have to ask, as he would be happy to have him in the Bloodsport ring anytime and anywhere. Barnett then said that MVP could come alone or come with a posse, but he was the CEO of hurting people. He dropped another tease by saying he looked forward to seeing MVP and anybody else he might know. Barnett and MVP then shook hands.

MVP’s WWE contract is reportedly set to expire in mid-August, and he is not expected back with the company. He has not wrestled since 2022, but he has teased returning to the ring since undergoing stem cell treatment.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
