Ranbir Kapoor undergoes rigorous training to transform into Lord Rama for Ramayana; takes swimming, cycling, hiking lessons

After the massive success of Animal, Ranbir Kapoor is prepping for his next film Ramayana. Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, the movie is touted to be the most expensive film in Indian Cinema. To get into the character of Lord Ram effortlessly, Ranbir has started intense preparation for the role. In a video posted by his fan clubs, the actor is seen working rigorously.

Ranbir Kapoor intense prep for Ramayana

In a video posted by his trainer, which was later shared by the actor’s fan pages, Ranbir Kapoor is depicted engaging in various activities to prepare for his role. He works out with a gym ball, kettlebells, gym ropes, and goes for a run. Furthermore, he is also seen swimming, cycling, and hiking to prepare himself for the shoot. In one of the stint where he is cartwheeling, fans spotted a glimpse of Alia Bhatt and Raha as well accompanying him. The video was also shared by Ranbir’s fan pages on social media and it went viral in no time. Take a look:

About Ramayana

According to several media reports, several actors of Ramayan have already started shooting for the film and Ranbir will join them soon. A few pictures of Lara Dutta and Arun Govil from the sets have also gone viral. Reportedly, a Rs 11 crore set has been constructed for Ramayan and the makers have tried to bring the city of Ayodhya to life.

Regarding cast, Sai Pallavi who has been roped in for the role of Goddess Sita. While KGF star Yash is speculated to play Ravana. Sunny Deol is also joining the cast to play the role of Hanuman. Apart from him, Lara Dutta has been roped in to play Kaikeyi and Arun Govil will play Raja Dasharath. TV actors Sakshi Tanwar and Ravi Dubey will essay the roles of Mandodari and Lakshman respectively. Adinath Kothare is roped in for the role of Bharat.

Ranbir’s upcoming movies

On the work front, RK will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War. The flick also stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in pivotal roles. It is all set to release in December 2025. Apart from this, he has Ramayan for which he is undergoing intense prep. He will also start preparing for Animal Park, sequel of his blockbuster film Animal.
