When Hannibal Mejbri returns to Manchester United from Sevilla at the end of the term, the club will reportedly be looking to move him on permanently.

The midfielder’s spell on loan with Sevilla has been nothing short of bizarre and it’s highly unlikely to change before his temporary move expires.

Hannibal’s time in action for the La Liga outfit doesn’t even equate to a full game, with him being granted merely 89 minutes on the pitch since making the switch in January.

This has accumulated from just four appearances, three of which were as a substitute. His longest cameo – and only start – was 53 minutes. Since then, Sevilla have played five matches, and Hannibal has been an unused substitute in four of them, while he was omitted from the matchday squad entirely for the Getafe fixture.

Prior to the Tunisian’s winter departure, he had featured sporadically under Erik ten Hag, making 10 appearances and racking up 327 minutes of playing time. He opted to join to Spanish club despite late interest from Everton, which would’ve seen him gain such vital Premier League experience.

Nevertheless, it’s safe to say that Hannibal’s time in Seville hasn’t benefitted any party, and they certainly won’t opt to activate his £17 million buy clause.

Carrington graduate to bid United farewell this summer

As United prepare for their first-ever transfer window of the Sir Jim Ratcliffe era, a significant overhaul is expected to be carried out in M16, and GiveMeSport claims that the 22-year-old is ‘likely’ to be one player on his way out.

2022/2023 Eredivisie champions Feyenoord have been quick to establish their interest in the United academy product, believing that they can provide Hannibal with a prime opportunity to kick on in his senior career.
