CM Punk is seemingly set to face Drew McIntyre at WWE SummerSlam. According to a new report, Seth Rollins is slated to be part of the match as well.

Punk and McIntyre have been feuding for months, even as Punk has been out of action due to a torn triceps. The rivalry has been heating up over the past several weeks. Punk cost McIntyre his Money in the Bank cash-in at WWE Money in the Bank. In doing so, he played a part in Seth Rollins’ loss as well. Damian Priest pinned McIntyre to retain his title in a match where he was initially facing Rollins alone.

Dave Meltzer reported an update in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, saying that a guest referee spot is scheduled for a top match at WWE SummerSlam. Meltzer then speculated that the spot would be Rollins refereeing the match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre.

WrestleVotes also reported that the current plans have Rollins serving as the main event for the match between McIntyre and Punk. The report notes that creative was proceeding under the assumption that Punk would be ready for action at the premium live event.
