Tubi is interested in potentially adding a wrestling product to the platform, according to a new report.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightul Select) reports that the streaming service has shown interest in investing in a wrestling product. Per Sapp, details are few and far between. However, Sapp writes that the discussions have not been with an active company. Instead, there have been talks about the possibility of trying something new from scratch.
Tubi had been slated to add MLW to the platform in 2021. However, their deal with the company collapsed. MLW filed a lawsuit and alleged that WWE interfered in the deal. MLW claimed that Stephanie McMahon pressured a Tubi executive to deny giving MLW a slot on Tuesday nights. WWE and MLW eventually settled their lawsuit.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
