Manchester United will struggle to sell players this summer. Casemiro is one of many expected to leave the club for less than what he initially cost the club.

When signing a player approaching their 30s, you expect they will start to slow down, and their market value decreases.

It was only a matter of time before Casemiro would be deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford, and it doesn’t help that the former Real Madrid was asked to play lots of games at centre-back this season.

And, we can’t pretend Casemiro did any better when asked to perform in midfield.

According to a report by GOAL, United have set a £30million asking price on Casemiro’s head this summer.

The report claims that none of the Saudi Pro League clubs are falling for that valuation, so they must believe they can get the midfield veteran for cheaper.

Al Nassr, Al-Ahli and Al-Qadisiyah have all expressed an interest in signing Casemiro.

Rift between Casemiro and Ten Hag?

Casemiro was reportedly hurt by Erik ten Hag’s decision to leave him out of the FA Cup final.

ESPN Brazil reporter Joao Castelo-Branco disputed claims from Ten Hag that Casemiro was carrying an injury going into the game, while Sofyan Amrabat protected the defence from midfield.

GOAL reports that Casemiro was hurt by the decision to exclude him from the squad for the final, despite starting 10 consecutive games during a difficult run of form.

It sounds like Casemiro spat his dummy out. Good job the likes of Rasmus Hojlund didn’t follow suit and waited patiently for their opportunity to come on.
