Mason Greenwood is one of the players Manchester United will be looking to sell this summer to generate funds for incoming transfers, with the 22-year-old’s performances for Getafe earning him interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Getafe are keen on keeping him in Spain following a promising first season in La Liga and returning to United is not an option after the decision was made that he would continue his career elsewhere.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Serie A giants Napoli may consider Greenwood this summer and those suggestions have now been echoed.
According to The Athletic, last year’s Serie A champions have approached United over Greenwood’s future, with the Old Trafford club keen to complete a permanent sale over another loan.
That puts Getafe in a tough position, with the La Liga outfit unlikely to have the financial firepower Napoli will be able to come to the negotiation table with.
It is, however, stated that United have not ruled out the possibility of letting Greenwood go on another loan but it is clear that the preference is a sale.
Jadon Sancho is another right-sided winger who could be sold this summer, with Borussia Dortmund keen on keeping him in the Bundesliga beyond this summer.
The former Manchester City youngster has impressed in the second half of the season, with his performance against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League earning him widespread plaudits.
Sancho still provides good sell-on value and could help fund United’s transfer kitty, with the club keen on an overhaul of the first-team squad.
