Task Force Team Inspects Nizam Club: Serious Hygiene Violations Found

Hyderabad, 26th September 2024: The Task Force team conducted surprise inspections in the Saifabad and Abids areas, uncovering alarming violations at the Nizam Club in Saifabad. The Food Business Operator (FBO) was found operating without a valid FSSAI license, raising serious concerns about compliance with food safety standards.

Key Violations Discovered:

The FBO lacked Medical Fitness Certificates for food handlers, Pest Control Records, and a Water Analysis Report for the RO water used in food preparation.Live cockroach infestation was observed inside the kitchen, presenting a major health hazard.Water seepage from the ceiling was found directly over the grinding area, posing a contamination risk.The refrigerator doors were broken and joints rusted, while food articles stored inside were covered but not labelled.Clogged drains and water stagnation were observed, contributing to unsanitary conditions.Synthetic food colors were found in the kitchen, reportedly used for Chinese dishes, and were immediately discarded by the team.Cosmetic rose water, suspected of being used in pudding preparation, was found in the storage area and was discarded. The FBO was instructed to use only food-grade rose water.Beetle infestation was detected in stored wheat flour and urad dal, a major food safety violation.Open dustbins without proper lids were found at several points, indicating poor waste management practices.

The Task Force team has issued strict instructions to the FBO to rectify these violations immediately and comply with all food safety regulations. Failure to do so may result in further legal actions.
