The Reds signed a third victory in three days of the Champions League this Wednesday.

Only Aston Villa did a little better, keeping a clean sheet for six goals scored and no less than nine points collected in three days of the Champions League. This Wednesday evening, Liverpool can nevertheless boast like the Birmingham club of being a hit so far in C1.

After two initial victories over AC Milan (1-3) and Bologna (2-0), the Reds signed a new success on the field of Leipzig (0-1), thanks to an achievement from the opportunist Darwin Nunez with the help of Mohamed Salah (27e).

PSG lagging behind

Behind the leading English tandem, a third Premier League thief follows the movement, two steps behind: Manchester City. This ahead of the two Ligue 1 surprises represented by AS Monaco and Stade Brestois, well placed in the Top 8, synonymous with direct qualification for the round of 16 of the C1.

Lille (15e with six points) and PSG (19e

with four units) currently belong to the second batch which will be able to compete in the play-offs (the equivalent of the round of 16). AC Milan, Atlético de Madrid and even RB Leipzig find themselves beyond the 24e place, therefore in a virtual position of premature elimination.
