According to a report by Victor Gonzalez in SPORT, Barcelona are gearing up for a significant overhaul this summer.
The reporter mentions that the Blaugrana are eyeing three major departures to make room for three notable additions to strengthen their team.
Among those potentially leaving are Ronald Araujo, Frenkie de Jong, and Raphinha. Meanwhile, they are looking to bring in Joshua Kimmich from Bayern Munich, Bernardo Silva from Manchester City, and Nico Williams from Athletic Club.
Big sales are really necessary
The Barcelona management knows how tough it is to make moves in the market during these tough economic times.
They are putting in extra hours to get back to the usual balance, but it is not going to be a walk in the park to get the league’s approval.
“Barça wants to get rid of the players who are not going to have minutes, and if that is not possible, in the end, they will have to sell those million-dollar players who until now are starters,” said Lluis Miguelsanz in the report.

“One idea is to sell Araujo, Frenkie and Raphinha, who are three players who are on the exit ramp and are considering selling if there is a good offer.
“There are only 4/5 players who are not transferable and they are not,” he said.
Have Barcelona made any progress?
While it may be hard, Barcelona might have to sell Araujo owing to the revenue his sale can generate. On the other hand, Frenkie de Jong is likely not to extend his stay, meaning that it makes no sense for Barcelona to keep him beyond this season.
Lastly, although Raphinha has enjoyed a great run of form of late, the amount of interest he has generated across the English Premier League and Saudi Arabia makes him a cash cow for Barcelona.
Once these sales are sanctioned, only then can Barcelona think of going for their primary target.
