Tony Khan on Comparing WWE to Harvey Weinstein

He had something to say. Tony Khan recently appeared on TMZ Sports, where he discussed his recent comments about WWE and how he viewed them as being like Harvey Weinstein.

Below is what the AEW COO had to say:

“Well, I think we got a ton of coverage for AEW. I think it is important to say that I think AEW is the best wrestling company in the world in many ways. I think that we have the best wrestlers, the best matches, we’ve been putting on the best shows. I think the best pay-per-view events this year have been AEW [Revolution & Dynasty].”

Khan has recently come under fire for his comments, with some in both WWE and AEW saying that his comments were “ridiculous.”

Editor’s Opinion:

This guy never ceases to amaze me with how delusional he is. I’m still of the mindset that this was an incredibly amateur and classless move by the COO, who, in trying to gain some notoriety for his product, ended up making himself look desperate and petty. We’ll see how this is addressed on Dynamite this week, but I don’t have high hopes for how this will turn out for him and his company.
