Tony Khan says he would be open to making AEW’s Hammerstein Ballroom shows an annual tradition.

AEW held three shows at the Hammerstein Ballroom in December, starting with ROH Final Battle on December 20. The December 21 episode of AEW Collision was also held at the venue, as was the December 22 taping of Dynamite/Rampage. This marked AEW’s debut at the Hammerstein Ballroom.

At the AEW Worlds End post-show media scrum, Cory Hays of Bodyslam.net asked Tony Khan about AEW’s Hammerstein Ballroom shoes potentially becoming an annual tradition.

“I really loved being at the Hammerstein Ballroom,” Tony Khan said. “I thought that was a tremendous weekend for AEW, big success, having the great shows, having the Christmas Dynamite and a Christmas Collision. Really a great holiday weekend. I would be very open to that. I think any time we can go back there would be great for AEW. It was a huge success. [It was] one of the best sets of shows we’ve ever done, so Hammerstein Ballroom, the setting and the fans, they were a huge part of it.

“I really enjoyed watching the show with my family on Christmas. It was very nice, and I thought the shows delivered. So absolutely, I’d love to go back to Hammerstein, whether it’s the holidays or any time. Those nights were just tremendous.”

During the scrum, Tony Khan commented on AEW and WWE holding shows in Orlando on the same night. Click here to see what he had to say.
