While his name had been circulating around Munich, Unai Emery chose to continue his journey with Aston Villa.

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has signed a new contract with his English club Aston Villa. While Bayern Munich showed interest in his services, the former PSG coach signed a new contract until 2027 with the German giant.

Aston Villa rewards Emery

Emery led Villa to fourth place in the Premier League. They are six points ahead of Tottenham, who have two games in hand. There is therefore a good chance that this team will reach the Champions League for the first time since the 1981/1982 campaign.

The Spanish technician also led the club to the semi-finals of the Europa Conference League. Villa will face Olympiakos for a place in the final.

Emery is in his second season at Villa Park, leading them to a seventh-place finish last season.
