Manchester United have reportedly shown ‘interest’ in soon-to-be-available manager Thomas Tuchel.
The German coach will be departing Bayern Munich upon the culmination of the 2023/2024 season regardless of how they fare in their Champions League campaign; they face Real Madrid in the semi-finals and could win a potential seventh European title.
Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag is on borrowed time at Old Trafford. The side were out of Europe entirely and out of the Carabao Cup before Christmas and now look set to fail in their quest of securing a top-four finish, given that they currently sit 16 points away from Aston Villa – albeit having played two fewer games.
Tuchel is said to be ‘very interested’ in taking the managerial role at United should it become available, according to Bundesliga expert Christian Falk.
Now @ManUtd also showed interest in Thomas Tuchel. Tuchel would be ready for a new Challenge in Summer and is very interested in Manchester United https://t.co/UdQGUXuNJ6

Tuchel a fine option to take the reins
The experienced 50-year-old boasts an impressive career record at each of his clubs. United fans will be well aware that he guided Chelsea to their second Champions League by defeating Manchester City in the 2021 final before going on to win the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup with the Blues.
He boasts two Ligue 1 titles with Paris Saint-Germain and one with Bayern, as well as plenty of other silverware that’s been accumulated since 2015.
