Manchester United are being absolutely torn apart by Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park tonight.

The Eagles have just fired home their third of the night courtesy of Tyrick Mitchell in the 57th minute, with United currently unable to even offer a single goal in response.

Casemiro, like so many other times this season, has come under the spotlight for his shambolic showings when up against Palace’s prolific attackers.

Indeed, the Brazilian is playing out of position in order to deputise for the sidelined centre-halves, but he is being thoroughly embarrassed this evening. He was dribbled past four times in the first half alone and failed in his half-hearted attempts to intervene in Palace’s two goals before the interval.

Analysing the veteran’s – and United’s – performance at half-time on Monday Night Football, Jamie Carragher told the panel: “They were comical really. [It’s] embarrassing for them. I said maybe you’ve got to bring Casemiro off. It’s sad to see a great player performing like this. It is. We’ve all been at the end of our careers, but he’s only 32. What he’s achieved in the game…

“He’s miles off. He’s miles away from it.”
