Borussia Dortmund announced on Monday the signing of Waldemar Anton (27 years old) from VfB Stuttgart. The German central defender, recently eliminated from Euro 2024, has signed a contract until June 30, 2028. Author of 6 goals and 7 assists in 196 Bundesliga matches, the latter is therefore preparing to discover a new challenge across the Rhine after having been one of the pillars of the VfB rearguard.

“I’m really looking forward to my first game at Signal Iduna Park, to seeing the fans and my teammates. I hadn’t planned to change clubs at first, but Borussia Dortmund came along. A top club that has just reached the Champions League final. That shows the potential of this club. Right from the start, all the BVB coaches gave me the feeling that they really wanted to sign me and that I could and should play an important role. I’m definitely up for it.”assured the person concerned.
