Martin Short was unfortunately missing from the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday (February 23), where he ended up winning an acting award for his work as Oliver Putnam in Only Murders in the Building. Steve Martin was also not present to accept the award for their Hulu series, but Selena Gomez held down the fort! Now, Martin has released a statement on his win, and his rep has also explained why he was missing.
