Will Ospreay spoke about his performance against Konosuke Takeshita at Revolution 2024, labeling himself as the most dangerous man in wrestling today.

The English star had his first match since signing for All Elite Wrestling at Revolution. He beat Takeshita with a Hidden Blade after a fantastic match in North Carolina.

In the post-show media scrum, Ospreay was asked how he was feeling about the match. He complimented his opponent and commented on the dangerous move he used to win the bout.

“I’ve got a lot to top now, haven’t I? I can’t do those type of matches without a great partner to do it with. Takeshita is every bit as good as Will Ospreay is. It’s just on the night, I was just better, pure and simple.” Ospreay explained.

“Look at the move I had to put him away with – the Tiger Driver. I keep saying this: the Tiger Driver 91 is the most dangerous move in wrestling.”

“It was used by Mitsuharu Misawa, and is one of the most dangerous moves in wrestling. Some guys are able to figure out a way to get out of it, but it is complete pressure on your neck. It’s a sheer drop. I wouldn’t be surprised in five months’ time if people say ‘You can’t do that move anymore.'”

Ospreay is the “most dangerous professional wrestler in the world”

Ospreay also warned that this pay-per-view was just the beginning of his first year in AEW. He rattled off the list of pay-per-views for 2024, before labeling himself the most dangerous man in wrestling.

“This is what I bring to the table. I am one of the most dangerous professional wrestlers in the world. Look — I am a lovely man! I will walk your mum across the street any day of the week. I will happily give you a cuddle if you’re ever feeling sad. I’m always a good shoulder to cry on, and I will look after you until the day I die, but I am one mean motherfucker when I want to be.”

“That’s all I care about. This is the first pay-per-view of AEW’s year for 2024. We’ve got Dynasty, Forbidden Door, Double or Nothing, All In, All Out, WrestleDream, Full Gear and Worlds End. That’s the first one. Like I said, the most dangerous man in wrestling right now, bruv.”
